The business has recently gone through a period of growth and looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our close-knit finance team. 

As part of our continued success, we are looking to expand our existing experienced team and are looking for a motivated and proactive Assistant Accountant. This role requires someone with a high level of commercial acumen coupled with a good eye for details. You will have excellent communication and team working skills with the ability to build and develop good relationships across the business. This is a brilliant opportunity to add depth to your accounts experience. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurate financial record keeping
  • Processing a high volume of purchase ledger invoices
  • Coding invoices
  • Matching invoices
  • Managing sales ledger
  • Checking sales invoices
  • Processing POD’s and matching them to relevant invoices
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Supplier statements reconciliation
  • Company credit card payments and reconciliations
  • Resolving invoice queries
  • Processing business expenses and cheques
  • Assisting with annual audits
  • Resolving customer queries

Experience required

  • Experience of processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Strong communication skills
  • High levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Experience working with finance systems
  • A willing team player with the ability to use their own initiative
  • The ability to resolve queries and offer solutions

What’s on Offer

  • Working hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
